Description:

Stone celtic cross with decoration of knotwork and pictish carvings depicting warriors and hunting scenes on shaft and arms, set on a stone plinth and block. Tablets set on each face of plinth with inscriptions and WW1 names. WW2 names engraved on one side of the base. The memorial stands on a triangular piece of ground and is enclosed by low metal railings

North face: THEY WHOM THIS MONUMENT/ COMMEMORATES WERE NUMBERED/ AMONG THOSE WHO AT THE CALL/ OF KING AND COUNTRY LEFT ALL THAT/ WAS DEAR TO THEM, ENDURED/ HARDNESS, FACED DANGER, AND/ FINALLY PASSED OUT OF/ THE SIGHT OF MEN BY THE PATH OF DUTY/ AND SELF SACRIFICE, GIVING UP/ THEIR OWN LIVES THAT OTHERS/ MIGHT LIVE IN FREEDOM/ LET THOSE WHO COME AFTER SEE TO IT/ THAT THEIR NAME BE NOT FORGOTTEN.
