Memorial is a bronze plaque with thistles and roses which is attached to what is maybe the original door of the church facing the A75.

THIS MEMORIAL, ERECTED BY PUBLIC SUBSCRIPTION, IS GRATEFULLY DEDICATED TO THE MEN/ BELONGING TO THIS PARISH WHO FELL IN THE SERVICE OF THEIR COUNTRY IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914 - 1919/ (NAMES)/ "THEY NEVER FAIL WHO DIED IN A GREAT CAUSE/ THEY BUT AUGMENT THE DEEP AND SWEEPING THOUGHTS/ WHICH OVERPOWER ALL OTHERS AND CONDUCT/ THE WORLD AT LAST TO FREEDOM"/ "GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS, THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS"
