Description:

The war memorial at the Catholic church of St David’s on Eskbank Road in the Midlothian town of Dalkeith takes the form of a calvary. A wooden crucifix stands on a stone plinth with a wooden canopy. The Christ figure is made of fibreglass and painted. At the base of the cross are three tablets laid on a gravelled base, surrounded by a stone kerb. The two outer tablets are longer and inscribed with names of the fallen. The dedication is on the smaller central tablet
