Born 39 Old Sneddon Street, Paisley, son of John Kirkland (tobacconist & shopkeeper)[deceased] & Elizabeth Brown Dick Clark. Brother (Thomas P. Clark) resident of 33 Kilnside Road, Paisley. Formerly employed as a butcher journeyman & afterwards became a army pensioner. Died of wounds (sustained during the war) at Bellahouston War Hospital, Glasgow.
