Description:
Corinthian Pillar of Victory decorated with a wreath, surmounting a square plinth. Plinth as an inset plaque with a relief of a highland soldier stepping up to a parapet. The memorial covers Grantown, Abernethy, Duthil, Rothiemurchus and Aviemore, Inverallan, Cromdale and Advie. The WW1 breakdown is- Grantown 74, Abernethy 30, Duthil 36, Rothiemuchus and Aviemore 23, Inverallan 51, Cromdale 24 and Advie 16. The WW2 breakdown is- Grantown 13, Abernethy 15, Duthil 15, Rothiemuchus and Aviemore 5, Inverallan 6, Cromdale 8 and Advie NIL.
