Description:

The Birse war memorial is a tall cairn, almost an obelisk, which is constructed of rustic pink granite blocks. The commemoration and names of the dead are carved in relief on the faces of the monument. The commemoration at the top states that the memorial is to the memory 'of the men of Birse'.The memorial stands by the roadside on Corse Darder Hill.
