Obelisk on a pedestal and 3 stage base. The Dedication and WW1 names are on tablets on each of the 4 faces of the pedestal, WW2 and later names are on tablets on the top step. Canmore and local sources agree that the memorial was previously at NS 87052 59659 in a then public park and was moved in 1981
