Pink polished granite pillar with four rough-hewn bands surmounted by an orb, set on a square plinth and square base, the whole mounted on three rough-hewn steps, 6 steps up from road level. There are two villages called Symington, this one in South Ayrshire and another in South Lanarkshire (WMR #54287)
