Description:

The Memorial Chapel is a freestanding building constructed from Beer stone (type of limestone), located within the grounds of Rugby School. The plan-form is in the shape of a Greek cross, with four equal transepts and stained glass windows. Beneath the north & south windows are groups of wall mounted, incised stone tablets with the names of the fallen from WW1 & WW2 respectively. At the centre of the building is an integrated floor memorial tablet. Two large decorative wooden cabinets house copy-records of every Rugbeian involved in the wars.
