THREETHREE-STEPPED SQUARE BASE SURMOUNTED BY LARGE PLINTH, PEDESTAL AND FIGURE OF A SERVICEMAN IN FULL KIT. NAMES INSCRIBED ON SLATE TABLETS (3 tablets per side for WW1 and 4 tablets per side for WW2)-the 12 o'clock face WW1 plaques also have 1 name for the Korean Conflict. On the front (6 o'clock face) are 2 additional copper tablets-1 for an additional WW1 name, and one for the Aden Conflict. There are also 2 copper vases on a copper bracket on each of 8 corners of the memorial. WEST FACE: LAUREL WREATH ABOVE THE MAIN INSCRIPTION AND GOLD CROSS NEAR THE TOP OF THE COLUMN.
