Died of Wounds Aged 38
Born Cross Arthurlie, Barrhead, son of William (nailmaker) & Elizabeth McEwan Paton. Widow, Catherine Hamilton Paton, resident of 4 Blythswood Drive, Paisley. Served in South African War & afterwards was a Glasgow Police officer then a barman with Mr Marshall in Moss Street. Member of Paisley Abbey. Mobilised at the outbreak of war. After recovering from wounds he sustained at Mons he returned to the front.
