He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Scots Guards.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Ingilby, of Ripley, in the West Riding of the County of York [U.K., 1866] on 20 September 1950.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the West Riding, Yorkshire in 1952.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of the West Riding, Yorkshire
